Flowing through the heart of Durango, Colorado, the Animas River is our home water and one we love. The Animas is a freestone river that boasts huge rainbow, brown, and cuttbow trout. Abundant midge, caddis, and mayfly hatches, with some stoneflies thrown in for good measure, make for exciting fishing throughout town. When flows permit, floating is an adventure not to be missed!

Pricing
We offer float and wade trips on three different stretches of the river. Above town, the river is slow and meandering through oxbows in the beautiful Animas Valley. Through town there is great access along the entire river and plenty of great fishing spots to hit along the way. And below town we have excellent floating during the high water season, and incredible private water ranches when levels become too low to float.

Trip Details
Cancellation Policy
Trips cancelled prior to 30 days of the trip date are entitled to a full refund. Trips cancelled 29-11 days prior to the trip date are entitled to a refund of 50% of the trip cost. Trips cancelled within the 10 days prior to the trip date are responsible for the full amount of the trip.
Fishing License
Fishing licenses are required for guided fishing trips in the state of Colorado. You can purchase your Colorado fishing license through the Colorado parks & Wildlife website.
Gratuities
Tips for our guides are not included in our trip rates. Our team works hard… and you’ll notice it for yourself! We appreciate your business.
